Begin with a Grin

yesturday was interesting, eye opening, a little sad.  We met with a bride whose fiance is being deployed to Afganistan and she is planning her wedding.  We created a special “armed services” package for her seeing that we like to support our troops and it’s sort of our way of giving back and showing a little appreciation for our service men & women putting their lives on the line.  The whole time she kept saying “but, no one else cares”.  For all the vendors she met with, venues, photographers, entertainment…not one of them cared.  I find this sad in a way that we live in such a cut-throat money oriented world that we forget how to be human.  It’s an eye-opener to say the least.  “No one cares”…well we do and we appreciate those who support this country, a country that allows us to be us, to have the simplest of freedoms of expression that allows us photographers to express ourselves through images.
